Jasmine Absolute

Grown using organic methods
Botanical Name    Jasminum grandiflorum
Origin
India
Benefits    Jasmine is used in traditional Chinese medicine and in Ayurveda to balance women's hormones. It is also thought of as a natural antidepressant. Aromatherapists believe that it's especially effective for people suffering symptoms of apathy and fatigue. They believe that jasmine works, in part, by reducing fears and opening up emotional pathways.
Notes
Angelina traveled to India in search of a fine jasmine essential oil. After several weeks of searching, she found a small family farm in the Mysore region. They organically grow jasmine and distill the essential right on the property. It is one of the most expensive oils in the world! Jasmine blossoms are extremely fragile, must be hand-picked and then processed quickly and without heat to avoid degradation of the delicate volatile oils. In fact, jasmine blossoms are so delicate that jasmine is one of the few essential oils still being routinely manufactured by the ancient process of enfleurage.

Jojoba Beads

Grown using organic methods
Botanical Name
Simmondsia chinensis
Origin
 USA
Benefits    A gentle exfoliant that removes dead, dull skin cells from our most delicate areas, like the face and décolleté. Jojoba beads are made of pure hydrogenated jojoba oil. These round spheres smooth skin without causing the micro tears that rougher exfoliates can create.
Notes    Our jojoba wax beads come from a small farm in Arizona where they grow the plants in their native habitat. The esters are hydrogenated using a very special process that gets the jojoba molecule to accept hydrogen without twisting the original shape of the molecule. Most hydrogenated oils are made of twisted molecular chains which aren't as easily processed by our bodies.

Jojoba Oil

Grown using organic methods
Botanical Name    Simmondsia chinensis
Origin
 Arizona, USA
Benefits    Makes a great scalp cleanser for the hair, and is equally wonderful for the skin because it has absorption properties that are similar to our skins own sebum. Jojoba works like gortex- it is at the same time waterproof and breathable. It bonds with the skin, creating a moisture barrier, holding moisture in, while allowing the skin to breathe. The jojoba plants evolved to coat their own leaves with this special wax to retain moisture in their hot, dry climate.
Notes
Cold-pressed, unrefined. Because Jojoba is not oil but rather a wax, its shelf life and stability is considerably higher then most oils and rancidity is very rarely a concern. It is deep gold in color and with a mild odor.
Constituents    (primary) Fatty acids: erucic (16.3%), gadoleic (69.3%), oleic (10.1%)
